The Jolly Trolley was a cartoon spin on the Pacific Electric Railway system featured in the Who Framed Roger Rabbit film, stopping at the Mickey and Roger Rabbit fountains, while a single station bench area was placed in the middle of the route. However, due to its low capacity and safety concerns, the Disneyland version would close in December 2003, while Tokyo's would close in 2006. Since then, the Jolly Trolley vehicle was displayed by the station as a photo opportunity while the station eventually housed a Disney Vacation Club kiosk. With Disneyland's Toontown being set to undergo a major overhaul in anticipation of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, concept art shows that the Jolly Trolley's station and track are to be removed to make way for CenTOONial Park.
